Alares and Nestwork launch Alares Contigo, a mobile telecare service that provides ongoing emergency assistance and personalized 24-hour monitoring for older or dependent people.
According to various statistics, 9 out of 10 older or dependent people prefer to remain in their own homes rather than move into a care home. The device is therefore the solution needed to improve users’ quality of life and peace of mind, as well as that of the people around them.
The service uses the eNest device, which can detect risk situations and keep users located at all times.
Alares and Nestwork launch Alares Contigo, a mobile telecare service that provides ongoing emergency assistance and personalized 24-hour monitoring. It also offers Home Help, a telephone Personal Assistant, and telephone consultations with medical experts to help Alares Contigo customers in their daily lives.
The service is effective both inside and outside the home, providing users, family members, and caregivers with freedom, independence, and peace of mind. Current data shows that people over 65 years old account for around 20% of the total population, and this percentage is expected to reach 30% by 2050, making the service essential for ensuring the quality of life of older and dependent people in our country.
The Alares Contigo service, available at selected pharmacies since July, is the result of Alares’ 25 years of experience in personal and family assistance and Nestwork’s advanced technology. Both companies combine their experience and efforts to develop this project based on a shared vision: bringing together the best technology and the best assistance to offer an advanced and comprehensive service to those who need it most.
Alares Contigo incorporates the eNest personal mobile security device
Alares Contigo incorporates the eNest personal mobile security device, specially designed to monitor and locate people who, for various reasons, may find themselves in a dangerous situation. The device consists of a simple terminal and a wristband, allowing users to remain located at all times and, in an emergency, receive rapid assistance by simply pressing a button. In addition, eNest features proactive alarms and can detect falls, periods of inactivity, excessive speed, and entry into or exit from a safety zone.
When Alares Contigo is contracted, eNest automatically sends these alerts to the Alares 24-hour Assistance Center, where social and healthcare professionals assist the user. The telecare service is complemented by a telephone Personal Assistant who can manage anything the user needs on their behalf—canceling a direct debit, calling a plumber, handling administrative procedures…—as well as unlimited telephone consultations with doctors, psychologists, dietitians-nutritionists, and social care experts. In addition, during convalescence, 4 hours of personal home assistance per year are provided free of charge.
The service also includes a web platform with a simple and reliable interface that family members or people close to the user can access to view alerts and check their location. This is possible because eNest is also a locator equipped with GPS and GSM technologies for outdoor location, as well as innovative Wi-Fi-based indoor location tracking.
This assistance service is primarily aimed at older or dependent people, but it may also be useful for other groups, such as children, athletes, and lone workers. Alares Contigo begins being marketed this July through selected pharmacies along the Mediterranean coast—from Málaga to Girona—as well as in Madrid and Albacete. However, once the service has become established in these areas, it is expected to expand to the rest of the country in the coming months.
After purchasing the eNest device at the pharmacy, registering for the service is quick and requires no waiting or paperwork; it can be completed by telephone by calling 91 275 05 77.
