OBJECTIVE
The main objective of Fundación Vivofácil (formerly Alares) is its commitment to improving people's quality of life and promoting business and institutional competitiveness. Accordingly, the work of Fundación Vivofácil (formerly Alares) focuses on launching projects and studies, disseminating best practices, raising awareness, providing training courses, and, very importantly, awarding prizes, recognitions, and scholarships related to the aforementioned objectives. Through all this, we seek to ensure that these actions have long-term strategic value and contribute to the solid changes we need to achieve a better society for everyone in our country.
BEGINNINGS
Fundación Alares, now Fundación Vivofácil, was established on December 13, 2005, as a nonprofit organization. Its daily work consists of developing social improvement projects in our country that require action because of their extraordinary current and future impact on our collective life. It also seeks to bring together, as partners and through forums, debates, courses, seminars, and conferences, all those members of civil society, companies, and organizations who wish to work for people's well-being and the development of a balanced society in our country.
Areas of activity
Currently, Fundación Vivofácil (formerly Alares) focuses its activities on five major strategic areas, all arising from the current circumstances we are experiencing and on which, to a large extent, sustainable social and economic development in our country depends.
DEPENDENCY
Preventing dependency and providing universal, high-quality care for dependent people and their caregivers.
WORK-LIFE BALANCE
We promote policies that support work-life balance, caring for families, fostering equality, and strengthening businesses.
DISABILITY
We foster the workplace inclusion of people with disabilities and those at risk of exclusion by providing training, advice, and support.
DIVERSITY
We promote diversity and non-discrimination in organizations as a source of well-being, social wealth, innovation, and competitiveness.

Dear friends:
As President of the Vivofácil Foundation (formerly Alares), I would like to introduce you to the project that has undoubtedly given me the greatest personal satisfaction throughout my professional career and to which I devote no less than 50% of my time. This is the Vivofácil Foundation (formerly Alares), a nonprofit organization whose objective is framed within the philosophy of Vivofácil, based on a 100% solidarity-driven vision that seeks to respond to the new needs of today’s society. The Vivofácil Foundation (formerly Alares) is one of the most important pillars of the Group that I have the privilege of leading, and thanks to its enormous potential and the people who work there, it is capable of generating significant social projects in the areas where Spanish society currently most needs everyone’s effort and collaboration. Ultimately, it is about enhancing citizens’ quality of life and social well-being, while promoting a competitive business ecosystem capable of creating the sustainable employment and well-being we need.
Research, training, outreach and awareness-raising are some of the tools through which the Vivofácil Foundation (formerly Alares) carries out its activities.
Main areas of work:
- Preventing Dependency: We work to ensure that everyone has access to services that preserve their independence and quality of life.
- Work-Family Reconciliation: We promote the Vivofácil National Awards and develop the Personal Services sector.
- Integration of People with Disabilities: We have created the www.discaempleo.com portal and Vivofácil Special Employment Centre.
- Diversity Management: Through the Diversity Foundation and the Diversity Charter.
- Fighting Unemployment: Through the “Self-Employment and Business Creation” project.
Our reason for being is People, of every age and background, and Companies as generators of social well-being and wealth. In this regard, the Foundation has established itself as a benchmark in the field of Work-Family Reconciliation and today promotes the Vivofácil National Awards (formerly Alares), dedicated to Work-Life, Family and Personal Life Reconciliation and Social Responsibility—the most prestigious awards in our country in this field.
In the field of Diversity Management, Vivofácil Foundation (formerly Alares) has created the Diversity Foundation. In collaboration with the European Commission, we are responsible in Spain for promoting the “Diversity Charter,” or European Charter of Principles for Non-Discrimination and Equality in Organizations, among companies.
We are currently proud to have a Board of Trustees made up of prominent individuals connected to and committed to these issues, united by their civic commitment to contributing to solutions for new social needs through diverse perspectives and specialized analysis.
The Vivofácil Foundation's (formerly Alares) main sources of income are based on private contributions, primarily from Grupo Vivofácil (formerly Alares), sponsorship and regular donations from various companies, and regular or one-off contributions or donations from private individuals committed to the purposes and objectives we work toward, which enables the projects carried out to be sustainable in the long term.
As an individual, and because of the responsibility I hold as Chair, I will fight with all my strength to achieve these objectives, seeking to bring as many companies, institutions, and private individuals as possible into this wonderful project.

The highest governing body of the Vivofácil Foundation (formerly Alares) is its Board of Trustees, whose functions are established in the Articles of Association and correspond to the institution's strategic direction. Accordingly, and in compliance with the law, the Board of Trustees approves the Foundation's strategy and annual action plans and, through them, the set of specific projects and activities that make up each annual plan. It is also responsible for approving the annual budgets and monitoring and controlling the Foundation's management for each financial year and its overall development. At the proposal of its Chair, the Board of Trustees appoints an Executive Committee from among its members, which serves as its permanent representative and handles the Foundation's day-to-day management. In addition, the Board of Trustees may establish as many Advisory and Special Committees as it deems appropriate for the effective implementation of the Foundation's work.
