Antxon Arza, synonymous with overcoming adversity

Antxon Arza, one of the members of the team behind RTVE’s program “Al filo de lo imposible,” took part in the III Diversity Forum on the employment integration of people with disabilities. Through his testimony of overcoming adversity, he made it clear that the employment integration of people with disabilities is a key factor for businesses. In his presentation, “Simply: A Matter of Ability, Talent and Challenge,” Arza explained how, despite his physical disability, he continues to travel and practice extreme sports such as whitewater canoeing, which caused him an accident while he was practicing it on the Yuruaní River. There is no doubt that this natural-born athlete embodies the spirit of disability integration in today’s society. This forum, titled “Disability Management: Key to Organizations” and created by the Foundation for Diversity with the support of the Fundación Alares®, focused on the employment integration of people with disabilities. To this end, representatives of companies such as Iberdrola, Coca-Cola, MSD and Sodexo analyzed the progress and improvement that diversity brings to the competitiveness of organizations. All the experiences shared at the III Diversity Forum highlight the need to take an active role in the social and employment integration of people with disabilities and the benefits this generates for businesses.
