Alares and AICA sign an agreement to facilitate work-life balance in companies in Alcobendas

Javier Benavente, President of Alares, states that “this alliance promotes work-life balance and employee engagement or commitment in a new, diverse, global and highly competitive world. For Javier Beitia, President of AICA, “this agreement will make it easier for companies that want to be socially responsible to achieve their goals.”

The Alcobendas Business Association—AICA—and Alares, experts in personal and family assistance throughout Spain and Portugal, today signed a collaboration agreement aimed at enhancing the competitiveness, productivity, reduction of absenteeism, market positioning and Social Responsibility of companies in Alcobendas.

Javier Benavente, President of Alares, and Javier Beitia, President of AICA, attended the signing of the agreement, which will last for two years and may be extended.

According to the President of AICA, “this agreement will make it easier for companies that want to be socially responsible to do so, and will enable them to improve their employees’ work-life balance, especially in special circumstances.” For Alares, its president emphasized that “this alliance promotes work-life balance and employee engagement or commitment in a new, diverse, global and highly competitive world. At the same time, it is self-financing: it reduces absenteeism and can serve as an ‘Alternative Measure’ for compliance with the Disability Act, since we are a Special Employment Centre.

Thanks to this partnership, business owners will benefit from advantages and discounts on improvements for their employees, such as those offered by the “Alares 360º Plan.” This program provides personal assistance services both for the company and for employees and their families. Employees will thus have access to a personal assistant for everything they need in their daily lives, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, wherever they may be, as well as telephone guidance on medical, psychological, social and nutritional matters, among others.

The Plan also covers other situations, offering teleassistance for older people, an SOS button on mobile phones, GPS protection for children, Telepharmacy, a Second International Medical Opinion, and a private network of affiliated hospitals, medical centres, dentists, wellness and beauty facilities offering discounts of up to 50%.

For cases of recuperation at home, personnel are available to provide care and companionship for children, sick people and older adults, among others; assistance with household chores; specialized treatments; and private tutors at all levels and in all subjects, among other services.

In addition, both the company and its employees will have access to advice and assistance on diversity management, disability, equal opportunities and gender-based violence. Participating organizations will also receive the Alares Certificate as a “Socially Responsible Company with Its Workforce.”
