Regulating these services could generate up to one million jobs

This is confirmed by Alares’ Personal Services team, a company providing in-home personal assistance services to socially responsible businesses and institutions. The company recognizes this period as a time of increased demand, with an increase of up to 30%, meaning that demand doubles during these weeks.
Employment opportunity
Likewise, this phenomenon, combined with the current high level of social unemployment, makes it a genuine opportunity to obtain a job. In fact, the Spanish Association of Personal Services (Aesp) advocates changing the employment situation of workers who care for children, older people, or dependent individuals, most of whom work in the informal economy.
Javier Benavente, President of Aesp and the Alares Group, believes that "it would be highly positive if the authorities paid more attention to the enormous volume of informal economic activity surrounding personal services. This would make it possible to create jobs that cannot be outsourced abroad and improve people’s quality of life." Evidence of this is the study conducted by the association in 2010, which stated that regulating the personal services sector could create up to one million jobs.
