The MERCO study marks its tenth anniversary.

The data from the 2010 MERCO index was presented today. This study, which serves as an evaluation tool for the reputation and management of intangible assets of major Spanish companies, marks its tenth anniversary by announcing that Telefónica has become the company with the best reputation in Spain this year.

Among the highest-rated companies are Telefónica, Iberdrola, Acciona, Google, and Ikea. In fact, these are the companies that have risen the most places in this prestigious ranking, and the telecommunications company has even overtaken the Inditex Group for the first time in the ten-year history of the study.

However, when the results are examined by audience, Google ranks first among financial analysts, while it ties with La Caixa for first place according to employees and talent experts. For the general public, El Corte Inglés has the best reputation, whereas among business journalists, that position is held by Sabadell Atlántico.
