The Spanish team was one of the big winners in London 2012. The Spanish team excelled in swimming, whose team won 22 medals (2 gold, 11 silver, and 9 bronze), followed by cycling (2 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze), athletics (3 gold and 2 silver), judo (1 gold and 2 bronze), shooting (1 silver), and 5-a-side football (1 bronze).
The London 2012 Games stood out as one of the highest-level sporting events in history. In addition, the staging and quality of the facilities placed the English capital among the leading cities in the Olympic movement.
