Funny, ironic, and above all moving, "El Langui" received the most heartfelt and well-deserved applause of the evening. The actor received the Goya for “Best New Actor” and the Goya for “Best Original Song” in Spanish cinema for the film El truco del Manco, directed by Santi Zannou. In it, he plays 'Cuajo', a payo with a Romani background who has cerebral palsy and refuses to remain trapped in the vicious cycle and inertia of marginalization because of his disability. In addition to being an actor, Juan Manuel Montilla is the singer of the hip-hop group 'La Excepción', the best Spanish group at the 2006 MTV Europe Awards.
