- At Fundación Alares, we have helped more women with disabilities—who face double discrimination—to receive training and improve their employment prospects.
- At Alares Social Centro Especial de Empleo, more than 70% of our workforce is made up of women with disabilities, in both middle-management and senior leadership positions.
- At Fundación Diversidad, we have helped more than 600 organizations sign the Diversity Charter, whose principle against gender-based discrimination is fundamental. In addition, many of its founding members are now holding awareness-raising events on equality between men and women and have become more consistent with the Charter.
- At Alares Empleo ETT, we have helped more than 85% of women with disabilities who were hired on a temporary basis to move into permanent positions within their organizations.
In 2013, Gender Equality is more and better
If our society still needs to celebrate International Women’s Day, it is because we still have a great deal of work to do. Nevertheless, this post is intended to encourage us not to let our guard down and to continue working toward a fairer society. So let’s celebrate the small but important advances that Grupo Alares has achieved in recent years.
