Yesterday, Forética presented the fifth edition of its report on the development of Corporate Social Responsibility in Spain, an event attended by Ramón Jáuregui, Minister of the Presidency and Trustee of the Alares Foundation.
This report, which has been produced since 2002, assesses the extent to which CSR has been implemented and developed in companies in our country. During the presentation, the study’s most relevant conclusions were presented, such as the impact the crisis is having on CSR practices and how organizations are adapting to new social needs.
In his speech, Ramón Jáuregui explained that if companies want to survive in a globalized world, they “must renew their contract with society.” As Jáuregui himself argued, a well-understood CSR culture provides “the level of excellence needed to achieve the competitiveness demanded by the globalized world.”
In this regard, Jáuregui expressed his support for CSR policies because they help companies become sustainable and competitive—something demanded by the “globalized, demanding, dynamic and flexible world that is now the playing field for businesses.”
