The difficulties of reconciling family and work life

Today's image in many of our country's newspapers features Licia Ronzulli, the Italian MEP who attended yesterday's European Parliament plenary session in Strasbourg with her baby in her arms as a protest against the difficulties that men and women face every day in reconciling their family and professional lives.

With this gesture, which was applauded by all her colleagues, the MEP called on the European Parliament to work to improve this situation and protect women's rights.

Incidentally, last Tuesday, Viviane Reding, the European Commissioner for Justice and Fundamental Rights, presented the European strategy on equality between men and women in Strasbourg to promote female employment, increase women's presence in positions of responsibility in companies, reduce the pay gap, and combat gender-based violence.

At Grupo Alares, we work every day to make work-life balance in Spanish companies a reality, because this is a demand from society that also affects the competitiveness of the organizations themselves.
