3 women driving the EmprendEX program, candidates to be selected among the Top 100
The Top 100 Women Leaders in Spain is the ranking promoted by Mujeres&Cía. For the third consecutive year, the ranking highlights female talent and women’s participation in the country’s public life.
With more than 1,000 nominations, Mar Aguilera, Mercedes Pescador and María Eugenia Girón, who are members of the EmprendEX Governing Council, are candidates to be selected among the Top 100.
Mar Aguilera is one of the candidates to be selected among the Top 100. She certainly has no shortage of merits. She has led the Alares Foundation since 2007 and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Diversity Foundation. She is committed to improving quality of life and business competitiveness, leading projects of varying scope focused on the social and workplace integration of people with disabilities, work-life balance, dependency, diversity and social responsibility.
Another candidate, Mercedes Pescador, founded Medialuna in 2000 after ten years working for other public relations companies and as a journalist for various Spanish media outlets. She has turned the agency into a benchmark in the sector through the success of its communication and public relations campaigns across all business sectors: pharmaceutical laboratories, chemical companies, and companies in the consumer, food and luxury industries. She has also worked for the European institutions in Spain, for which she organized the International Women’s Day event during the past two years. In 2007, she founded the publishing house LoQueNoExiste, creating a special collection entitled Female Talent.
Maria Eugenia Girón has more than 15 years of experience in the luxury industry and is currently a partner at Silvercloud holdings. This year, she is once again a candidate in the Thinkers and Experts category of The Top 100. She has held executive positions in the sector, advising luxury companies on strategic development and brand building. An expert in the luxury market, she worked at Loewe and Carrera y Carrera. She founded the specialized consultancy Megam Capital. She teaches at IE Business School, “Fashion, Luxury and Creative Venture Entrepreneurship”. She studied at ICAI and Harvard.
Voting is open until February 20 at 8 p.m., and the Gala at which the winners will be announced will take place on March 23 at 7 p.m. at the InterContinental Hotel.
