Caring for people: the key to building customer loyalty.
If your company’s customers speak well of you and are happy, it is very difficult for them to drift away from your brand. If every purchase results from an emotion, it would be worth pausing to consider that, if emotions do indeed play a crucial role at the time of purchase, the key will be to create an emotional bond with customers. Any company, whatever its field of operation, must create purchasing experiences, with products and services that reach customers’ minds through their emotions.
If we apply all this to the automotive sector, when we buy a car we all make sure that it looks good, stays clean and shiny, does not suffer damage, and we also constantly check that everything works. But what would happen if a car returned all that care? Surely, when Henry Ford created this automotive giant with the desire to make automobiles accessible to everyone, he never imagined that the company would add a new concept: the care and well-being of drivers and their families.
Indeed, Ford is the first automotive company in Spain to offer all its customers and their families personal and family assistance services with the purchase of a vehicle, both to improve their daily lives and to promote their happiness.
These are assistance services that the company provides for five years to all Ford buyers and that are delivered by Alares.
Both companies share the same goal: making drivers and their families happier, thanks to services that already benefit 200,000 people, including family members and vehicle owners.
Ford’s innovative program is called Ford Protect Life and includes extended mechanical and electrical coverage for the first five years or up to 100,000 km. However, Ford Protect Life stands out not only for its attentive after-sales service or for maintaining the vehicle during the five years following its purchase, but also for going further.
Thanks to the agreement between Ford and Alares, Ford Protect Life takes care not only of the vehicle, but also of the driver, their spouse, their minor children, and their parents over 70. In doing so, Ford takes another step forward and transforms the typical formula used by car companies: selling a product and offering a vehicle with the best features and functionality, while adding another factor—something just as essential—the assurance that its customers’ personal needs are covered, something no one had done before.
