Work-life balance programs improve Employer Branding by 33%.

Alares has conducted a study involving 20 client companies of all sizes, representing a total workforce of more than 150,000 employees and more than 750,000 total beneficiaries (employees and their family members). Employer Branding is the sum of the brand’s impact on customers, employees, and society as a whole. It is so important that, ultimately, a company cannot exist if no one wants to work for it. To understand the real impact of work-life balance programs as an important factor in improving Employer Branding, Alares surveyed 20 client companies of different sizes and from different sectors, with a total workforce of 150,000 employees.

All of these companies, which have implemented the Alares 360º Plan, a social program for the entire company workforce and their families that includes pioneering services in work-life balance, equality, diversity management, the integration of people with disabilities, and the prevention of gender-based violence, state that its implementation has improved their employer brand image by 33%.

In addition, 98% of all employees at these companies rate the work-life balance programs very positively, stating that they have directly contributed to improving their commitment and involvement with their company.

All the companies surveyed agree that companies that take care of their employees treat their customers better. It is a matter of commitment to society as a whole. For any organization, improving its appeal as an employer and its ability to attract talent, as well as differentiating itself from competitors, are key to business survival. New generations no longer place money at the forefront, assigning greater value to aspects such as having their needs met. Emotional factors are therefore becoming increasingly important, as both improve employees’ quality of life. In this regard, the companies surveyed state that the Alares 360º Plan has improved the attraction of new candidates by 16%.

“Increasingly, candidates ask during job interviews about the work-life balance programs offered by the company, making this a key factor when deciding whether to join one company or another, even above monetary salary,” according to Valle Rodríguez, HR Director at Amadeus, a company that has implemented the Alares 360º Plan with great success.

Investing in work-life balance programs is therefore the solution for fostering pride in belonging, a positive working environment, brand ambassadors, improved productivity, reduced turnover, and shorter times to fill vacancies.

Employer Branding has become a competitive advantage over other companies, measurable both in terms of reputation and results. It is a key element for strengthening market position, leadership, and the value contributed to the brand.
