Alares begins managing the Alhama City Council’s Day Care Center for Older Adults in the Region of Murcia

Alares, an organization specializing in family support services, has begun managing the Day Care Center operated by the Honorable City Council of Alhama de Murcia in the Region of Murcia. This is the third center that Alares® has managed in the region.

This service, which Alares® began providing on May 29, will remain in effect for two years, extendable to four. During this period of collaboration, Alares® will address the daytime needs of the center’s users with a clear objective: to improve the quality of life of older people and their family caregivers, enabling them to remain in their usual environment and promoting their independence while receiving the professional care they require. The center provides these older adults with comprehensive, social and healthcare, preventive, and rehabilitative services.

To provide this service, Alares® has made its own network of professionals available to the Honorable City Council of Alhama de Murcia, guaranteeing full oversight of each and every service provided. The staff serving users include psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, geriatric and nursing assistants, an adapted-transport driver, and a cook.

The services that Alares® will provide at the center include Meals (breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack), Healthcare (monitoring medical treatments, restorative activities, physiotherapy programs, personal care and hygiene, etc.), Rehabilitation: Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy; cultural and recreational activities, etc.; and Social Care (individual and group support for both users and caregivers.
Through its management of the Day Care Center, Alares® continues its strategy of encouraging individuals, companies, and institutions to participate in the collective process of building a social reality with a better quality of life for citizens.
