For the third consecutive year, Alares, committed to contributing to the definitive integration of People with Disabilities, wants to raise awareness in society through the “Share Flowers” initiative, which was a great success in previous years. More than 30,000 people joined this campaign to show their commitment to disability inclusion. It maintains its initial objective: raising awareness in order to achieve normalization, because only through this can employment and social inclusion based on equal opportunities be achieved.
It is vital to support the talent of these people, who have appropriate training, great dedication and motivation, and are capable of performing their work to the highest quality standards while increasing the productivity of any company.
Along these lines, throughout 2015 and compared with the previous year, the number of hires increased by 27%, with forecasts of exceeding 30% before the end of the year. The Alares Methodology applied to People Management, managed by Alares Social Special Employment Center (CEE) and Fundación Alares, is the foundation underpinning this growth. Its main characteristic is the professional development and satisfaction of the people who work at the organization, as well as the high level of quality perceived by its clients.
Specifically, Fundación Alares conducts numerous training sessions for companies, social and corporate awareness programs, and specific training courses throughout the year, all of which aim to facilitate these people’s access to the labor market. Last year, nearly 400 people received training, acquiring the skills and abilities needed to access the labor market more easily and under better conditions. For all these reasons, taking advantage once again of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, celebrated on December 3, Alares once again wants to reach the largest possible number of people with the “Share Flowers” initiative.
Once again, the idea is for everyone to share, through social networks, email and/or WhatsApp, a flower that brings together different disabilities and aims to give visibility—not only on this day, but always—to disability as an integral and enriching part of our society. The hashtag #FlorPorLaDiscapacidad.
