17 organizations receive the Alares “ESR” certificate for “Companies Socially Responsible Toward Their Employees and Society”

These certificates and the ESR Seal, awarded by Fundación Alares and Fundación para la Diversidad, are based on the efforts made by companies and organizations of all sizes to make essential, real, tangible, and concrete support services available to all their employees and family members, or to all their customers, without distinction. These services help improve people’s quality of life wherever they live, regardless of their social or economic status, and are integrated into the company culture and the organization’s own strategy.

This morning, at the headquarters of CEOE, 17 organizations received the Alares "ESR" Certificate and Seal, promoted by Fundación Alares and Fundación para la Diversidad. This certificate recognizes the good practices of Large Companies, SMEs, and Institutions in providing real solutions to society’s new support needs, through specific services that promote Work-Family Reconciliation, equal opportunities, and non-discrimination on any grounds.

AMADEUS, AVIVA CEOE, COLEGIO DE FARMACÉUTICOS, DIAGEO, ENDENRED, EDPR, FUNDACIÓN REPSOL, GALP, GEFCO MSD, PSA, REPSOL, TINSA, VESTAS and WOLTERS KLUWER were the organizations distinguished with the Alares "ESR" Certification and Seal for Socially Responsible Companies with their Workforce, for making support services available to all their employees and family members to meet their daily needs.

At the same time, FORD ESPAÑA received the Certificate and Seal of a Company Socially Responsible to Society for making these support services available to all its customers, wherever they live within the national territory.

These Alares "ESR" Certificates and Seal were presented by Ms. Carmen Plaza, Director General of the Institute for Women and Equal Opportunities of the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality; Ms. María Eugenia Girón Dávila, President of Fundación para la Diversidad; and Mr. Javier Benavente Barrón, President of Fundación Alares.

The event took place as part of the conference "HAPPINESS AS AN ACCELERATOR OF BUSINESS LEADERSHIP in SMEs, Large Companies and Institutions," where Mr. Carlos Piera, CEO of Delivering Happiness, highlighted various successful business cases, such as ZAPPOS, GOOGLE, VIRGIN, and PAGAGONIA. In Carlos’s words, "people have now realized how important it is to invest in happiness within the company culture."

Meanwhile, Ms. Anna María Hurtado, Director of Marketing and Communications at Alares, emphasized that it is vital to take care of both the "Customer Experience" and the "Employer Experience," key elements in making employees and customers happy—something that can only be achieved through services that address their real needs. She also stressed that CSR should be the overall strategic objective of all organizations seeking to lead the market.

Next, Mr. José Manuel Machado, President of Ford Spain; Mr. Jaime Martínez, Corporate Director of Culture and People Development at Repsol; and Mr. Rafael Prieto, General Manager of Peugeot, Citroën, and DS for Spain and Portugal, presented examples of good practices at their companies that had led them to receive this Alares "ESR" Certificate and Seal.

In the words of Mr. José Manuel Machado, Ford Spain is strongly committed to caring for its customers by offering programs that include support services and reach all of them without distinction, such as Ford Protect Life and Ford Protect Adapta.

Meanwhile, Mr. Jaime Martínez highlighted that the company seeks the "well-being" and "happiness" of its employees through measures supporting work-life balance, flexible working hours, teleworking, and a health support service available to 18,000 employees.

In his speech, Mr. Rafael Prieto explained the "importance of CSR as a historic strategic foundation within the PSA Peugeot Citroën Group, as demonstrated by the fact that it is a pioneer in people-management initiatives aimed at professional growth and well-being at work."

Finally, the event was closed by Ms. Lourdes Martínez Marcos, Director General of Employment of the Department of Employment, Tourism and Culture of the Community of Madrid, and Ms. Mª Eugenia Girón Dávila, President of Fundación para la Diversidad.
