The Spanish Committee of Representatives of Persons with Disabilities is promoting a Legal Defense Network for Disability Rights to monitor serious cases of discrimination and promote and defend the rights of people with disabilities.
This defense network, coordinated by CERMI’s own legal officers, will work to raise awareness of cases involving violations of the rights of people with disabilities. To identify such situations, cases will be analyzed and reported politically, to the public and the media, with the aim of creating indicators to measure discrimination and developing regulatory proposals to address violations of these people’s rights.
In addition, this network will register cases of rights violations so that they are included in the Annual Monitoring Report.
