Fundación Alares® and CEU Business School have organized a conference on Work-Life Balance as a Competitive Strategy for Companies

The Alares® Foundation and CEU Business School of Valencia organized a conference yesterday on Work-Life Balance as a Competitive Strategy for Companies. The event highlighted the importance of work-life balance for employees as an opportunity for companies to retain talent, reduce absenteeism, and increase productivity. It also emphasized the importance of work-life balance in directly attracting the best professionals, as it promotes employee commitment, loyalty, and engagement. Thus, the Alares® Foundation pursues its main objectives—researching, debating, contributing to, and developing proposals and solutions for the new needs of the 21st century. Equal opportunities, the eradication of all forms of discrimination, and work-life balance are, among others, some of the most pressing challenges facing collective life. For organizations that embrace these principles, they can become a competitive advantage by helping improve their strategic positioning in consumers’ minds. Mr. Javier Benavente Barrón, President of the Alares® Foundation, and Mr. Rafael Olcina, Director of Business at CEU Valencia, opened the conference, placing work-life balance at the forefront as a powerful business strategy. Mr. Enrique Arce, Managing Partner of People Matters, and Mr. Joan Piñol, Managing Director of Alares®, spoke about attracting and retaining talent and work-life balance. For their part, Mr. Javier Ibars, HR Director of Arbora & Ausonia; Ms. Gemma Escrig of the Isonomía Foundation at UJI; Unión de Mutuas; and Ms. Cristina Ripolles, Director of Corporate Culture and Practices at Bancaja, presented their business experiences with work-life balance and equality. “Work-Life Balance and Equality in Valencian Companies” was the title of the presentation given by Mr. Carlos Bonell, Partner at Monfort &Bonell Abogados. Next, Mr. Roberto Ballester, Manager of the ÉTNOR Foundation, spoke about “Business Ethics in Valencian Companies.” The Honorable Mr. Juan Gabriel Cotino Ferrer, Third Vice President of the Consell, closed the event.
