The opening lecture of the Alares National Awards for Work–Life Balance and Social Responsibility was delivered by Mr. Miguel Ángel García Martín, of the Directorate-General for Self-Employment, the Social Economy and Corporate Social Responsibility. Ms. Mar Aguilera, Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Alares Foundation, read the jury’s decision, highlighting the quality and professionalism of the 400 applications submitted for these awards, resulting in a first-rate list of winners.
Once the event had been opened, the awards ceremony took place. Distinguished figures from the business world attended the presentation, including Mr. Antonio Garamendi, Ms. Mercedes Pescador, Ms. Mª Eugenia Girón Dávila, President of the Diversity Foundation, Ms. María del Mar Alarcón, Ms. María Ángeles Durán, Mr. Gabriel Fernández, and Mr. Fernando Moreno, along with representatives of Iberdrola, Protecting Partner of the Alares Foundation, and Galp Energía, a company committed to the Foundation’s activities.
In the case of the National Awards for Excellence in Occupational Risk Prevention for People with Disabilities , the Gala began with an address by Mr. Ignacio Tremiño, Director of Disability Support Policies at the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality, who stressed “the importance of companies becoming increasingly aware of the inclusion of people with disabilities.”
Ms. Mar Aguilera, Secretary of the Alares Foundation, was responsible for reading the jury’s decision, highlighting the professionalism and quality of all the applications submitted for this edition.
Cualtis is the first company to promote the well-being of people with disabilities through awards. With this participation, Mr. Sixto Cantabrana, Administrator of Cualtis, made it clear in his speech that “monitoring good practices in occupational risk prevention is essential for improving the working conditions and health of any employee, and in the case of people with disabilities, it is even more crucial for their inclusion in the workplace and for retaining their jobs.”
Mr. Sixto Cantabrana, Administrator of Cualtis, Ms. Ana Lozano Enciso, Commercial Director of Cualtis, Mr. José Manuel Morán, Trustee of the Alares Foundation, and Mr. Fernando Moreno, also a Trustee of the Alares Foundation, were responsible for presenting the awards to the winners in the various categories.
Ms. María Ángeles Durán, Trustee of the Alares Foundation, brought the 4th Edition of these Awards to a close. The ceremony was held at CaixaForum Madrid, the venue chosen to host the more than 500 guests who attended the Gala, hosted by Juanma Romero, journalist and television presenter.
Both awards were held with the Honorary Presidency of Their Majesties the King and Queen of Spain.
