The Juan Carlos I exhibition center (IFEMA) will host the 3rd Congress of the Madrid Association for Dependency Care (AMADE) and the 1st European Pro Care Symposium on September 30 and October 1. These two professional events will provide an opportunity to exchange experiences in promoting the quality of life of older people.
European experts, public administration officials, and professionals from companies in the geriatric care sector will come together over two days to discuss and reflect on best practices in providing services to older people in situations of dependency. The latest developments in applying new technologies to products and services for older people will also be presented.
In addition, four workshops will be held during the event for professionals who work directly with older people—social workers, geriatric caregivers, therapists, and others—to participate in: Creating ethics committees, Pain management, Use of restraints, and Protocols as a working tool for quality care.
AMADE recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, as well as the ceremony for the 1st 2010 Professional Awards. Grupo Alares attended the ceremony because it received the Best Business Project Award for its work in the dependency and family support sector.
