From now on, anyone with a disability or dependency can be assessed under the same criteria, regardless of where they live. This means that, regardless of the autonomous community, the scale used to measure the degree of disability will be the same throughout Spain. Therefore, we are all on an equal footing when requesting assistance from a professional.
This amendment to the regulations is truly important because it also eliminates the obligation to indicate the type of physical, mental, or sensory disability on the disability-degree certificate, and therefore we enjoy much greater privacy.
