Workplace flexibility is what employees are looking for the most.

According to a study, 76 percent of workers seek flexible companies that promote work-life balance measures. Employees are so concerned about this issue that it often becomes a decisive factor when looking for a job. Of those surveyed, most recognize the importance of companies promoting work-life balance measures, to the point that these measures influence their efforts to find a job. In contrast, 18 percent of respondents acknowledge that other factors may be more influential, while only 6 percent state that work-life balance is not relevant when looking for a new job opportunity. These figures demonstrate the value employees place on balancing their professional and family lives. This has a negative impact on organizations that are unable to help their employees achieve this balance, as they may lose their most valuable staff. Companies committed to their employees’ well-being can adopt several measures that support work-life balance, such as teleworking, part-time work, or leave to care for a family member. Undoubtedly, promoting employees’ quality of life improves the company’s productivity and interpersonal relationships. At Alares, we believe that work-life balance should become a reality in the Spanish business environment by introducing measures that enable employees to reconcile their professional, family, and personal lives.
