The Madrid municipality recognizes the value of promoting the Diversity Charter in Spain, which has already been signed by more than 650 organizations.
The Foundation for Diversity has received the Alcobendas City Council Award for Work-Life Balance and Equality. This prestigious award recognizes the organization’s contribution to society through its work promoting and publicizing the Diversity Charter in Spain, as well as its efforts to advance equal opportunities. Javier Benavente, President of the Foundation for Diversity, accepted the award and took the opportunity to thank the authorities for how meaningful this recognition is to the Foundation for Diversity team.
One of the Foundation for Diversity’s areas of work focuses on promoting genuine equality within organizations. In this regard, Javier Benavente emphasized that “we must work within organizations to make equality and work-life balance a reality. We know that in this way we can make the most of the human capital we work with and, consequently, have more competitive, sustainable companies in which talent is the central focus.” Benavente also wished to highlight the role played by the Alares Foundation in creating and developing the Foundation for Diversity, since its establishment in March 2009 with the support of the Ministry of Equality and Social Policy. Both organizations operate in parallel within the Alares Group, where they promote the company’s social principles.
The Alcobendas City Council Awards for Work-Life Balance and Equality were first presented in 2003. Their impressive and prestigious list of recipients speaks for itself, which is why the Foundation for Diversity considers it a great privilege to join them. Awards such as these demonstrate that social culture is gradually changing and, consequently, so is the way organizations manage their people.
