At a ceremony presided over by Her Majesty the Queen and held at Telefónica’s headquarters in Madrid, the jury of the Telefónica Ability Awards recognized the inclusive programs and policies of Línea Directa Aseguradora in the Best Large Private Company category, which included the participation of the country’s leading companies. The awards, now in their second edition in Spain, recognize the best business practices in the area of integration and sought to highlight the insurer’s commitment to equal opportunities, demonstrated through personalized support for employees with different abilities, the internal and external promotion of integration, and agreements with leading associations and foundations.
To this end, Línea Directa has “Sin Límites”, a dedicated program aimed at integrating employees with disabilities by removing the barriers that hinder their development and creating genuine equality of opportunity within the organization. The initiative, which celebrates its third anniversary this year, has its own budget and includes professional advice, an awareness-raising plan within the organization, and the support of a Guide, who ensures that the workplace is adapted to each person’s circumstances, providing comprehensive support from the time they join the company until their departure.
In addition, the Guide supports the professional development of employees with disabilities through specific training, development, and work-life balance plans and, in collaboration with other departments, works to promote awareness-raising and training plans for all company employees.
Línea Directa has numerous initiatives, programs, and agreements aimed at promoting equal opportunities from a broad perspective, including work-life balance plans and measures such as teleworking and flexible schedules, as well as inclusive commercial products such as Roadside Assistance for Deaf People.
