These awards, which have become a benchmark in the field of occupational risk prevention for people with disabilities, are sponsored and technically supported by Ibermutuamur’s Prevention Society. Without this support, it would not be possible to present this recognition of good practices that help improve the quality of employment by facilitating workplace inclusion and continuity in the job.
The initial assessment of the workplace and the risks arising from it, together with measures that promote equal opportunities for people with disabilities regarding access to and retention in employment, range from the correct adaptation of the workplace (ergonomics) and appropriate personal protection to prevent workplace accidents, to accessible training that addresses the individual’s specific needs according to their disability.
In the words of Eusebio Gómez, Manager and Administrator of Ibermutuamur’s Prevention Society, “initiatives of this kind, such as sponsoring this event, must serve to encourage companies, individuals and institutions to join this effort.”
This year, the expert committee comprises:
Ms. María del Mar Alarcón Castellanos, Director General of Labour and Manager of the Regional Institute for Occupational Safety and Health of the Community of Madrid; Mr. Félix Alarcón, HR Global Processes Director at Atento; Mr. Luis Javier Alonso, Manager of CERMI; Mr. Javier Benavente Barrón, President of the Alares Foundation; Mr. Mario Cabezos Cañavate, Manager of Prevention and Environment at Mutua Madrileña; Mr. Sixto Cantabrana, Deputy Manager of Ibermutuamur’s Prevention Society; Ms. Blanca Clavijo Juaneda, President of the National Alzheimer’s Association “AFAL Contigo”; Mr. Manuel Cuadrado, Communications Director at Wolters Kluwer; Mr. Moisés Escobar Escribano, Defender of People with Disabilities in Alcorcón; Mr. Eusebio Gómez, Manager of Ibermutuamur’s Prevention Society; Mr. José Manuel Morán, Member of the Economic and Social Council of Spain; Ms. Mar Aguilera, Director General of the Alares Foundation.
This expert committee will evaluate all the proposals, and the jury’s decision will ultimately be announced in June. However, the awards gala will not take place until June 26, at the CaixaForum Auditorium in Madrid, where the winners in each category will be announced: Large Companies, SMEs, Institutions, and Occupational Risk Prevention Professionals (PRL).
